24.08.2010 | Delegation of China
On the 23rd of August Zelenograd Centre for Entrepreneurship Development was visited by delegation of China. The goal of the visit was sharing experience on issues relating to special economic zones. The first Russian-Chinese conference started with the opening speech of the first deputy prefect A.Mikhalchenkov and continued with the presentations of SEZ Zelenogradґs head and business representatives from China. After the conference the briefing for mass media was held.

01.08.2010 | Childrenґs international car run
Childrenґs international car run through European countries was held from the 9th till the 22nd of July. It was devoted to the 65th anniversary of the Great Victory in the II World War.
The car run was organized by Traffic Safety Youth Centre of Moscow. 15 pupils between 11 and 17 as well as Centre activists took part in the run.
9 cars of the participants ran 7200 km. Their way was prepared to visit most countries that took part in contesting fascism. 18 cities of such countries as Russia, Belarus, Poland, Germany, France, Italy, Austria, Croatia, Slovenia and Czech Republic were visited during the car run. -
01.07.2010 | MSABA - one of the first members of Bologna club
MSABA became one of the first members of Bologna club. The organization consolidated major Russian higher education institutions which entered into the engagement of Russian higher education system reforming and creating the Common Education Space within Europe.
Bologna declaration was carried on the 19th of June, 1999 by 29 European Education Ministers. Now Bologna process is a consolidation of 47 countries. Russia joined it in September, 2003. -

Forum of Zelenograd microelectronics cluster venturers and partners took part at Mikron facility. The event was co-organized by SEMI international association which represents the interests of equipment, materials and service suppliers for semiconductor industry all over the world, as well as parent company of SITRONICS Mikroelektronika business-line OAO NIIME i Mikron.

04.05.2010 | MIET is the national research university
As MIET rector Y. Chaplygin, corresponding member of RAS, informed at the press conference on the 29th of April Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation contest committee MIET was assigned the status of national research university. It demonstrates the recognition of the institutionґs achievements in education, research activities as well as innovations. The university will also receive significant long-term state financing backing, which is to amount 1.8 milliard RUB for 5 years.

The 3rd of March, 1958 is considered to be the birthday of Zelenograd. On this day the Council of Ministers of the USSR adopted the resolution on building city satellite of Moscow in the region of the station Krukovo belonged to the Oktyabrskaya railway. The station Krukovo is a historical place. During The Great Patriotic War our forces launched counter-offensive here to put an end to fascist Germany.
New city construction started in 1960. In 1962 The Electronic Industry Minister of the USSR A.I.Shokin transferred the city under authority of The State Committee on Electronic Engineering for establishing the complex microelectronics centre. On January 15th, 
1963 The Executive Committee of Moscow decided to name the new city Zelenograd.
Today Zelenograd is an independent city with the population of 208,000. The city is subordinated to Moscow (Zelenograd administrative district of Moscow).
In record-breaking time the powerful scientific and production basis for electronic industry was created in Zelenograd, scientific-research institutes, factories and educational institutions were put into operation. From the moment of first enterprises start-up Zelenograd won the leading place in the Soviet electronic industry and remains the leader in this branch in spite of last years difficulties. During the 90th economic and political crisis Moscow and Zelenograd managed to stop processes of management and economy disorder. The governments of Russia and Moscow took measures aimed at electronic industry preservation and support.
Zelenograd was created as a city of the future. And today its potential is huge: manufacturing industry is developing, managers think in a modern way, significant intellectual resources are accumulated here. It gives the confidence in the worthy future of our city.
